Before relocating to Maine from New York City, Charlotte developed a career with major book publishers, where, among other achievements, she won the Barnes and Noble National Account Representative of the Year award.
 

Once in Maine, she applied the attributes of her outgoing personality, enthusiasm, energy, and conscientiousness to develop the corporate partner program of the Portland Symphony Orchestra. She has undergraduate and masters degrees in music from Swarthmore College and Yale University and her MBA from the University of Connecticut.
